 Prime Minister's directive to issue another notification by deleting the experience of ex-officio in the advertisement of the Vice-Chancellor of the University

Prime Minister and Chancellor of Tribhuvan University Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has directed to correct the provisions of the advertisement called for the appointment process of Vice Chancellor by Tribhuvan University.

On Friday afternoon, Education, Science, and Technology Minister and University Vice-Chancellor Ashok Kumar Rai was called to the office of the Prime Minister and instructed to correct the advertisement.

The Prime Minister said that the notice published on Friday may close the door to the selection of qualified people as he is trying to hold an open competition so that qualified people from all over the world can come for the reform of the university.

In the notice published by the selection and recommendation committee on Friday, the prime minister has directed to remove the provision of three years of experience for officials, stating that he has drawn serious attention to the notice of submission of at least three years of work experience (including year, month and day) in one of the positions of university officials. .

Stating that we are interested in imposing a syndicate on meritocracy with such a provision, only ex-officers are eligible for competition,the Prime Minister instructed the committee through the ministry to completely open the way for competent and qualified people to come.

The Prime Minister has also instructed the Minister of Education to be serious about improving the quality of higher education as it will be difficult to reform the university without making a broad standard so that any eligible Nepalese academic can apply.
